Ree Drummond is a source of knowledge for home cooks. The Pioneer Woman has learned a lot over the years as a food blogger and Food Network host. Whether you’ve just started your culinary journey or you’re a seasoned cook, you may have so much kitchen equipment that you’re not sure where to put it. It can be easy to pile up kitchen gadgets.
If you’ve gotten to the point where you don’t know where to store your kitchen utensils, Drummond is here to give you some advice. Here are the cookware Drummond recommends for small spaces.
The 9 essentials of Ree Drummond’s cuisine
Drummond shared his cooking essentials in his Super Easy cookbook. She says she “can’t live without” these ingredients. Its essentials are sauces with Asian flavors, fruit jams and jellies, canned and jarred peppers, canned broths and broths, bread, mustards, dry pasta, hot sauces and products made from tomatoes.
Drummond likes to have these basics on hand, so she doesn’t have to worry about running out of ingredients when cooking a meal. Having extra staples around makes meal prep quick and easy.
When it comes to kitchen essentials for small spaces, Drummond recommends four pieces of equipment. She says home cooks need a flat whisk, wooden spatula, utility knife, and blender or food processor. “The blender and the food processor can do a lot of the same things, so you can choose just one,” Drummond explains in his column.
Drummond also has some great ideas on how to keep the pantry organized. A useful feature in her pantry is a ladder. She uses a ladder to retrieve objects out of reach. Drummond also had shelves built in his kitchen to store his appliances. On her website, it is mentioned that she built custom shelves to accommodate her larger appliances, such as her KitchenAid stand mixers. The Pioneer Woman website also recommends placing kitchen items in freestanding cabinets if you are running out of storage space.
How Ree Drummond Makes Recipes
One question you might be asking yourself is how Drummond is able to come up with new recipes every week on The Pioneer Woman. The daughters of Accidental Country Girl, Alex and Paige, shed some light on the matter. During an Instagram question-and-answer session called Ask Alex, they revealed their mother’s secret. According to them, Drummond has a team that helps him create new recipes for the show.
“We don’t have recipes,” says Paige. “We’re not part of that,” adds Alex. However, Alex says she sometimes sends her mom trending recipes if she sees something interesting. Typically, The Pioneer Woman and her team feature the recipes you see on the Food Network. “It’s mostly her and she has a team that helps her find stuff,” says Alex. “But she likes to offer a lot of [the recipes]. “
